Day 1, Wednesday
Seven and a half hours in the air, and we have arrived! Fantastic views as we approached Chicago, on a cold but clear late afternoon.
Car collected (RAV 4), and an easy drive along Route 90 right to the door of Hotel #1 – The Best Western River North. Great location, walking distance from all the main sights and free car parking which is a definite plus.
After a day of plane food, off to find something as healthy as possible, sushi maybe, before the daily diner diet gets a grip!
